A big part of my current job is designing camera specific plates that:
- Allow customers to mount to tripods in landscape and portrait orientations interchangeably, with repeatability
- Protect the camera body
- Retain critical tools
- Improve the ergonomic experience of using the camera
- Meet their aesthetic demands
